Morning and Afternoon tea on both days is provided.

• Roles of an Owner Builder
• Choosing land or position, Consultants, Designers
• Environment & Energy
• Choice of Materials
• Building Methods, Preliminary Design Drawing, Specifications
• Setting Goals
• Estimating, Costing and Budgets
• Planning and Scheduling
• Finance & Loan Requirements
• Administration and Record keeping
• Trade Contractors, Contracts and Progress Payments
• Construction Stages
• Conflict Prevention and Resolution
• Move In and Maintenance

Plus, the course will provide you with an extensive referral list to outside resources that can provide information to assist your project.

The 2 day Owner Builder Course is divided into four sessions (morning and afternoon). At the end of each sessions there will be a Question and Answer Review which will form part of your competency assessment.

At the conclusion of this Course you will receive a Statement of Attainment which is recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework. This will allow you to apply for your Owner Builder Permit with the Building Services Authority.
